My Cafe Build

Molotov Cocktail - Joshua Pageau

So I started building a cafe bike this winter, it is just now getting cold so I am actually coming inside for once to sit down and start this build page. The bike is themed around the 1960 Grand Prix Gulf racing motorcycles.

This was how it looked the first day I had it.
(This is not my picture just an example)

This is my first picture of the bike, at this point I had handlebars and hand controls.

most of the work so far has been removing components and putting them on that shelf in the background.

All of the old and some new just adding to the shelf and keeping track of parts

I took the engine out and painted it
New gaskets and seals all the way up, new boots and plugs

Polished the old hand controls and speedo, I added the brake control

Added some newly rebuilt carbs and used my friends intake valve from a cb650 as my choke pull

some of the parts out for visuals

Got it back from powder coating , polished the front forks and started figuring out the foot controls

Up on the desk to sort out the wiring, I am using all 14ga cloth wire and new bullet connections

Soldered in a new brass bolt for the starter.

I cut off the bulky honda lever and polished the cut

Installed the shocks

Something like this?

This is my run/off and ignition panel

Internal headlight bracket

THis is the sleeving all the wire will be covered in
 15amp main
I converted the bulb to led with a resistor an led and some epoxy

Polished the front caliper

Myspace angle

This is where I sit today

Happy halloween

Finally put front wheel back on

Axe position mock up

 Axe position final

 Finding brake positions

That is where I'm at so far. Soon this tank will be perfect.

I ahve recently fixed all of the controls and losse connections and stripped the old wires off again.

I am in the process of rewiring the entire bike now using solder and heat shrink.
